Campers should bring their lunches and dress for the weather each day. We will be outside some each day, so sunscreen and bug spray are highly recommended. A personal letter of welcome and a schedule from your Camp Instructor will follow your registration.

Junior Explorers Camp

Pack your bags, and grab your passport – we’re going on a museum safari!  Inside and outside, we will observe and interact with animals, plants and their environments. Discovery based, hands-on activities will reveal amazing details linking Africa’s and Carolina’s natural history.  


Nature Detectives Art Camp

Calling all curious kids!  Join the Naturalist Investigation Squad.  Use art and your detective skills as we investigate the mysteries of the Carolinas’ natural history, from the stars in the sky to the flora and fauna in your own backyard.  All art materials will be provided.  Dress for creating art!

Dive into the Carolina Piedmont’s icy past and hike through our subtropical and humid present!  Discover Carolina geology, astronomy, aquatic ecology, and the rich stories behind our natural history. Identify the power you have to protect your natural heritage for the future. Special guests will be sharing their expertise. Note: This camp will require one off-site drop-off and pick-up for aquatic ecology/kayaking trip on Thursday, July 10th, at the Nivens Creek Landing, Lake Wylie; weather permitting.
