Computer Support Specialist (30 hours per week)

Salary Range: $16.78 - $23.49 per hour (30 hours per week)

The Culture & Heritage Museums (CHM) seeks a part-time (30 hours per week) Computer Support Specialist to oversee the operation of our computer systems.

Responsibilities include overseeing the daily operation of computer systems at multiple sites, diagnosing, troubleshooting and correcting software and hardware problems. Candidate must be able to provide technical support and training for software and hardware, evaluate future IT needs and develop priorities and budget recommendations.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a technology related field and 3-5 years of work related experience; in-depth knowledge of computer and support principles; ability to grasp technical concepts quickly; ability to work independently and as part of a team; good written and oral communications skills and attention to detail is a must. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Sharepoint, Exchange required; Windows Server, Vista and SQL Server a plus.

This is a part-time 30 hours per week position and is not eligible for health insurance benefits but does received prorated leave.

This position is graded a 15 with the salary range from $16.78 to $23.49 per hour.

Family Program Manager (40 hours)

Salary Range: $14.50 - $20.30 per hour (Grade 12)

The Culture & Heritage Museums (CHM) seeks an experienced educator to direct family and children’s programs for the Culture & Heritage Museums.

The Family Program Manager designs, implements/ coordinates and evaluates a comprehensive program of learning experiences across the CHM system of museums that meet the needs of children and parents/caregivers. Job hours are flexible and include weekend and evenings in order to best serve the family audience.

Family programs may include, but are not limited to, summer camps, summer programs, homeschool programs, and weekend programs. Areas for immediate development include birthday parties and scout programs.

The Family Program Manager reports to the CHM Director of Education and works closely with education/interpretation staff to develop and deliver high quality programs.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in youth programming, museum education or teaching within a formal or informal setting, management and supervision of staff, budget management, and a strong working knowledge of the needs of families and children.

CHM offers competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package for its employees. The salary range for this position is $14.50 per hour to $20.30 per hour.
