Looking for action, adventure, and mystery this summer? You'll find them at CHM summer camps!
Registration
Priority registration available to CHM members on March 1; general membership opens March 15.
Only completed registration forms with payment ensure registration. Limited financial assistance is available for all CHM camps. Information will be included with registration materials upon request.

Critter Camp
Where: Museum of York County
Ages: students entering Grade K5
Limit: 15 participants
Dates: June 9-13
(Registration Deadline: Wednesday, May 28)
Time: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to noon
Cost: $65/week CHM Members; $85/week non-members
Play games, make crafts, eat silly snacks and have lots of fun while learning about animals that leap, fly, or crawl! This small-group setting is perfect for both first-timers and experienced campers.
Time Travelers Camp
Where: Historic Brattonsville
Ages: students entering Grades 4, 5, & 6
Limit: 15 participants
Dates: June 16-20
(Registration Deadline: Wednesday, June 4th)
Time: Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Cost: $160/week CHM Members; $180/week non-members
Travel through time from the pioneer backcountry, to the Revolutionary War, to an 1800's cotton plantation. Learn to cook over an open fire, drill with soliders, write with a quill pen, play historic games, and much more. Snacks and a hearth cooked meal provided daily.
Junior Explores Camp
Where: Museum of York County
Ages: students entering Grade 1 & 2
Limit: 15 participants
Dates: June 23-27

Time: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Cost: $95/week CHM Members; $115/week non-members
Pack your bags, and grab your passport - we're going on safari in Africa! We'll learn about African animals and their environments, and explore cultural traditions through stories and the arts. Junior Explores must bring a lunch each day.
Nature Detectives Camp
Where: Museum of York County
Ages: students entering Grade 2 & 3
Limit: 15 participants
Dates: July 7-11

Time: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Cost: $95/week CHM Members; $115/week non-members
Calling all curious kids! Use your detective skills as we investigate the mysteries of the natural world, from the stars in the sky to the plants and animals in your own backyard. Nature Detectives must bring a lunch each day.
River Rats Camp - NEW for 2008!
Where: Museum of York County
Ages: students entering Grade 3, 4, & 5
Limit: 15 participants
Dates: July 14-18

Time: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Cost: $95/week CHM Members; $115/week non-members
Dive into the adventure of the Catawba River! Discover the river's exciting stories, meet its animals and plants, and learn how you have the power to protect it. We'll spend a day geocaching along the River's banks. River Rats much bring a lunch each day.
Quest Camp - NEW for 2008!
Where: Museum of York County
Ages: students entering Grade 4, 5, & 6
Limit: 15 participants
Dates: July 21-25
(Registration Deadline: Wednesday, July 9)
Time: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to noon.
Cost: $80/week CHM Members; $100/week non-members
Do you dream of setting off on a quest or adventure? Explore your environment as you follow maps, plot a course with a compass, and learn how to read the stars. Test your skills at geocaching, a high-tech scavenger hunt using handheld Global Positioning System (GPS) units. Quest Campers must bring a lunch each day.
