Solar Astronomy Day

Event Details

Date: August 05, 2017
Time: 10:00 am—2:00 pm
Location: Museum of York County

Event Description:

Astronomy includes discovering exoplanets, constellations of stars, and galaxies far, far away. However, for the event of this decade, the Sun is truly the “star” of the show.  As the Sun undergoes totality (a complete solar eclipse) on August 21, you will need to know the safest and best viewing in South Carolina.  In the Settlemyre Planetarium, watch Totality, a show about eclipses and we will share how and where to view this extraordinary event.  Solar trivia and sun-related activities will be ongoing.
