Try our ongoing nature programs that may feature a tour, demonstration or activity, which is designed to inspire children & adults to explore the natural world of the Carolina Piedmont and our global connections. 

• Do you play MINECRAFT™? Check out our collection of rocks and minerals and identify what is real and what is only found in the game. 
• Local geologists will be on hand to answer questions and help identify minerals in your collection. 
• Dirt Dauber Deb’s Gem Mining will be here with a gem of a special: $4 per bag with proof of admission.  
• Gem mining for ages 4 and up; weather permitting

Regular admission: $8 Adults • $7 Seniors • $5 Youth (4-17) • Free for CHM Members & 3 and younger
