Event Description:
Instructor Taylor Piephoff has been birding the Southern Piedmont for over 40 years. He is a past board member of Mecklenburg Audubon; past Executive Committee member of the Carolina Bird Club; past President of the Carolina Bird Club; past member of the SC Bird Records Committee; past Chair of the NC Bird Records Committee. Most recently he contributed a Piedmont Birding column to the Charlotte Observer for over twelve years. Dates: 1/22/19, 2/19/19 and 3/19/19 and Field Trip TBA.
• Sessions will include bird basic anatomy, ID content and lots of hands on with the bird specimens in the Naturalist Center.
• Field Trip at the completion of the course during daylight hours will be offered by the instructor for those interested.
Pre-registration and payment for all three sessions is required by January 11, 2019.
$25 CHM Members, Volunteers, Teachers/Students with ID
$35 Non-CHM Members
Cost covers all 3 seminars, class notes and the book, Peterson’s Guide to the Birds of Eastern and Central North America.

Note: York County, SC Educators may earn 2 CEU credits per seminar. Winthrop University may award one Cultural Credit per student per seminar attended.
