Event Description:


A virtuoso mandolin-player with a lustrous voice, Sierra Hull returns for an encore Southern Sound Series performance. A child prodigy who was born and raised in Tennessee, Hull was mentored by Alison Krauss and awarded a Presidential Scholarship to study at the Berklee College of Music. Hull’s “Weighted Mind,” produced by Bela Fleck, received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Folk Album. In 2016, Hull was the first female to be named Mandolin Player of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association and has twice received that since.
