From Sun-Up to Sun-Down: The Enslaved at Brattonsville
In 1843, 139 enslaved people lived on the Bratton plantation. Join our historic interpreters as they explore the contributions the enslaved made to the Carolina Piedmont in general and the Bratton plantation specifically. We will feature a 19th century cooking demonstration, blacksmithing, the operation of our historic cotton gin, and guided site tours that emphasize the role of the enslaved people who lived at Brattonsville.
Time Travel Tuesdays: On Tuesdays this summer, join costumed interpreters and explore aspects of 18th and 19th century life for the Bratton family and others in the Carolina Piedmont.
