Conflicting Freedoms at Brattonsville
What did the idea of “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness” mean for the Carolina Piedmont during the American Revolution? Join us as historic interpreters explore the meaning of freedom for backcountry farmers, the enslaved, and women in the 18th century, along with demonstrations of blacksmithing, 18th century foodways, farm activities, and a militia encampment.
Time Travel Tuesdays: On Tuesdays this summer, join costumed interpreters and explore aspects of 18th and 19th century life for the Bratton family and others in the Carolina Piedmont.
