Grammy-winning Peasall Sisters to perform
Farewell tour includes stop in York, SC
YORK, SC - In one of the final concerts of their farewell tour, The Peasall Sisters return at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 14, to the McCelvey Center, 212 E. Jefferson St. in York.
The haunting song “Where No One Stands Alone” performed by the Peasall Sisters is featured on a trailer for the 2010 Coen Brothers’ movie, “True Grit.” The three singing sisters are also known as the voices of George Clooney’s daughters, the Wharvey Girls, in the 2000 Coen Brothers’ classic, “O Brother, Where Art Thou?”
The unique vocal harmonies of Sarah, Hannah and Leah have earned them Grammy and Country Music Association awards. The Peasall Sisters plan to offer their final performances in May, 2011.
