Meet & Greets Scheduled for Executive Director, Carey Tilley
York County, SC - A series of four Meet & Greets are planned for the public to meet Carey Tilley, Executive Director of the Culture & Heritage Museums over the next few months. After two months of settling into his new position, the Georgia native is eager to officially meet with the public and patrons at each of the four Museum sites.
Prior to accepting the position in York County, Tilley served as the Executive Director of the Cherokee National Historical Society in Park Hill, Oklahoma for almost six years. A historian at heart, Tilley is excited about being united with York County’s rich cultural and natural history and becoming part of its community. Tilley’s wife and family will join him in late May when his children are out of school.

Admission to each site will be free during the event times. Refreshments will be served at each event by Culture & Heritage Museums volunteers and staff.
Carey is proud to be associated with the Culture & Heritage Museums, one of eleven museums in South Carolina accredited by the American Association of Museums. He looks forward to upholding the quality and standards that York County‘s family of museums has achieved. He invites the public to share their thoughts with him as the organization moves ahead with its programs and collecting scope.
