Keepers of the Culture Nominations Being Sought


Award recognizes those who preserve our heritage


ROCK HILL, SC – The Culture & Heritage Museums (CHM) seeks nominations for the annual Keepers of the Culture awards through July 15.


Keepers of the Culture awards honor recipients for their commitment to keeping, communicating and connecting our cultural, historical and natural heritage through activities such as, but not limited to, teaching, research, scholarship, publishing, volunteerism, activism, advocacy, patronage, craftsmanship, visual/performing/literary arts, conservation and preservation.


Honorees will be chosen by a committee comprised of past Keepers of the Culture, past chairs of the York County Culture & Heritage Commission, which governs the CHM, and the current Commission chairman.  Honorees will be honored at a ceremony November 13. Recipients must live in the greater York County region.
