Showcasing the Comparative Anatomy Illustration course work of Winthrop University students, THE ART & SCIENCE OF ILLUSTRATION is the culmination of imaginative renderings reflecting both artistic and scientific influences. Under the guidance of Professor David Brown, the exhibition features the students’ field sketches and illustrations inspired by their explorative studies of mammalian and human anatomy observed while at the Museum of York County’s Naturalist Center.
Opening Exhibition Reception
Thursday, January 23 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm
Please join us for the opening reception of the exhibition THE ART & SCIENCE OF ILLUSTRATION at the Museum of York County on Thursday, Jan. 23. Come view the exhibition and explore the Naturalist Center. During the reception, Myths and Monsters in the Sky - a special program complementing the theme of imaginative renderings, will be presented by Settlemyre Planetarium manager, Carole Holmberg. The Museum Store will be open. Light refreshments will be served.
