Memorial Day Celebration at Historic Brattonsville
McCONNELLS, SC – Historic Brattonsville will be open to the public for this special day of remembrance on Monday, May 25. Join historical interpreters in an 1870's wreath laying ceremony and discover the origins of Memorial Day, a holiday created after the tumultuous years of the American Civil War.
Please note that all other Culture & Heritage Museums sites will be closed on Memorial Day.
All Culture & Heritage Museums sites, including Historic Brattonsville, are participating in the Blue Star Museums program. Blue Star Museums includes more than 2,000 museums across America. This program offers FREE museum entrance for all active duty, National Guard and Reserve military personnel and their families, and will run beginning Memorial Day (Monday May 25th, 2015) through Labor Day (Monday September 7, 2015).
