Slow down and savor the holidays in traditional Carolina Backcountry style during Christmas Candlelight Tours at Historic Brattonsville

MCCONNELLS , SC - Christmas Candlelight Tours highlight the origins of the Carolina Piedmont’s Christmas traditions. Interpreters dressed in period clothing guide visitors on candlelit tours of Historic Brattonsville’s antebellum estate and portray how the early settlers, plantation owners and enslaved African Americans celebrated the midwinter holidays.  Christmas Candlelight Tours feature family friendly hands-on activities throughout the day along with live music around a campfire. The 800-acre living history plantation is one of Father Christmas’ favorite stops.  Historic Brattonsville's Gift Shop features period-style holiday items and locally made artwork and goods. Warm beverages, seasonal foods, and baked goods will be provided by the Friends of Brattonsville and available for purchase.
