Play ball and celebrate the Fourth-of-July on the lawn at Hightower Hall

McCONNELLS, SC- Join in a 19th century-style game of cricket on the sweeping lawn of Historic Brattonsville’s Hightower Hall this Fourth-of-July. American cricket player and author Tom Melville will be on site conducting short, informal games throughout the day and sharing the story of ball-playing from America’s early colonial era. Independence Day celebrations will also include period cooking demonstrations, music and dancing.

The National holiday will culminate with a reading of the Declaration of Independence on the front steps of the majestic Hightower Hall at 3:30 p.m.

Picnics and blankets are welcome; the Friends of Historic Brattonsville will provide food and refreshments for purchase.
