Museum of York County’s “Spooky Science-Nature of the Night” to feature live creepy-critters

ROCK HILL, SC- Dress up in a not-so-scary costume and experience the nature of the night during Spooky Science Saturday at the Museum of York County. Explore the Piedmont galleries by flashlight, encounter an eerie planetarium show, and solve a mystery in the Naturalist Center.  Learn about the native Ghost Owl, listen to some believe-it-or-not tales around the campfire, and touch live creepy-critters - if you dare.

A Walk in the Woods, an environmental education company, will be on site until 3 p.m. to share a variety of creepy-critters including snakes, worms, Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches, and a glow-in-the-dark scorpion.

Spooky Science-Nature of the Night: Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Members-only preview starts at 9 a.m.

Spooky Science-Nature of the Night is family friendly and free with museum admission: Adults  $8; Seniors  $7; Students $5.

Food will be available for purchase.
