Kick-off the summer with Amazing Butterflies Family Day

It’s all about butterflies, all summer long at the Museum of York County’s Amazing Butterflies

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Explore the fascinating world of butterflies this summer at the Museum of York County. Amazing Butterflies is a traveling exhibit produced and toured by Minotaur Mazes, a Seattle-based exhibitions company specializing in engaging, maze-based learning adventures. Divided into themed sections, the maze encompasses the life journey of a caterpillar and its metamorphosis into a butterfly. Amazing Butterflies is both mentally and physically engaging and offer visitors of all ages a fun, hands-on way to discover the enthralling world of one of the planet’s most colorful insects. With a unique view of the world from a butterfly’s eyes, maze activities are designed to reveal intriguing facts about a butterfly’s life and the challenges they encounter along the way. Through an indoor maze visitors can crawl like a caterpillar, wrap up in a cocoon, fly away on a zip line and experience the adventures of all stages of a butterfly’s transformation.

Amazing Butterflies at the Museum of York County is open on Tuesdays - Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. from June 9 – Sept. 15, 2018.
