Museum of York County features cool August fun with the new Ice Age Carolinas exhibit, ongoing planetarium shows, and annual event – Come Draw with Me!

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Museum of York County’s annual “Come Draw with Me!” event moves to August! Bring a sketch pad and pencils and join local artists in sketching and rendering drawings taken from the museum’s vast collection of natural history specimens. Observe and learn from artists at work in the museum’s many galleries.  Explore the new major exhibit – Ice Age Carolinas and draw its creatures from the Piedmont’s Pleistocene past.

Come Draw with Me! Sat., Aug. 28 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Museum of York County’s Settlemyre Planetarium schedule:

11-11:30 a.m. – Wilbear’s Adventure (every Sat. through Sept. 25)

2-2:40 p.m. – Carolina Skies (every Sat.)

3:30 – 4:20 p.m. – Titans of the Ice Age (every Tues. – Sun. through Sept. 30)

Museum of York County’s Come Draw with Me!, planetarium shows, and exhibits are free with general admission

Museum of York County’s general admission:

Adults (18-59) – $8; Seniors (60+) – $7; Youth (4-17) – $5; Members & Children ages 3 and younger – Free
