“Introduction to Native Plants”

Learn what grew in the Carolina Piedmont before office parks

ROCK HILL, SC – Get an “Introduction to Native Plants” at 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, at the Museum of York County, 4621 Mount Gallant Road in Rock Hill.

A wondrous array of flowers, vines, shrubs, and ferns that are native to our region do very well in the home garden. Jean Woods of the North Carolina Native Plant Society will discuss how to find and incorporate these lesser known beauties in your own garden. Learn about their value to our birds and butterflies and their place in our natural heritage.

The talk is a part of the Native Plant Series sponsored by the Culture & Heritage Museums. “Introduction to Native Plants” will be presented 7-8 p.m. March 16.

COST Free for Native Plant Society and CHM members; $5 for others
