Create an adventure at the Museum of York County

Over 30,000 people visit the museum each year. MYCO has changing exhibits, natural science, hands on projects and other education programs.

African Animals & Artifacts

Mounted African Animals
Take a cultural excursion into learning at the Museum of York County. Permanent exhibitions include more than 200 full-mounted African animals as well as an outstanding collection of African artifacts.

Vernon Grant Collection & Other Exhibits

Vernon Grant Exhibit Among several galleries of changing exhibitions concentrating on art, science, history and natural history, the Museum of York County is also home to the Vernon Grant Gallery, which is devoted to the creator of Kellogg's Rice Krispies® characters Snap! Crackle! and Pop!®

Settlemyre Planetarium

Planetarium Explore the galaxy in an out-of-this world experience in the Settlemyre Planetarium. Shows use state-of-the-art audio and visual, slides and special effects to bring the cosmos to you.

Educational Programs

  Learn through educational, family programs and events such as Africa Alive! in February and Earth Day Birthday, a popular environmental festival in April. See Calendar>>

Other Amenities

MYCO Nature Trail Stroll down our 3/4-mile nature trail and bring lunch to enjoy at our picnic facilities. The Museum Store offers a variety of unique and eclectic gifts, pottery, jewelry and souvenirs. A visit to the store does not require museum admission.
