Captain Christian Huck is coming to the Backwoods of the Carolinas, and we are prepared to meet him! But where did he come from? Historic Brattonsville’s reenactment weekend will answer that question and more. On Saturday at 2pm, we will reenact the Battle of Rocky Mount, and on Sunday we will reenact the Battle of Huck’s Defeat. You will be able to walk the battlefield trail where Captain Huck met his maker and talk with militia and provincial soldiers, infantry, artillery and cavalry soldiers, too. Other activities include cooking demonstrations, children’s militia drills, camp life, toys and games, shopping at period merchants, 18th century worship service, music and more.
The Friends of Historic Brattonsville will have food concessions for sale, and you are welcome to bring a picnic.
Admission: $10 Adults; $8 Senior Citizens; $7 Youth; Free 3 and under; CHM Members admitted Free of Charge
