Wonderful Wednesday: Splendor of Scales

Event Description:

Meet at the Museum on Wednesday mornings as we encourage exploration and investigation of natural history topics with new exhibits, guest speakers and staff-led activities. Programs are recommended for children 6 years and older and their families. 

• Member Mornings begin at 9 am on all Wonderful Wednesdays from June 13 – August 8
• Presentations at 10:15 - 11:00 am | 11:15 – noon
• Guest herpetologist, Ken Wagner will discuss the advantages of having scales as body coverings with examples of live reptiles and fish. 
• Observe Lepidoptera (butterfly) wings closely under a microscope for a special surprise.
• Observe butterflies up close and personal. Our Butterfly Porch will be open from 11 am – 2 pm on Wednesdays.  Schedule subject to change.

Museum Admission:$8 Adults • $7 Seniors • $5 Youth
