By Way of the Back Door: Foodways

Join us each Saturday in February as we focus on the daily lives of enslaved people in the 18th and 19th centuries as part of Black History Month. Each weekend we will delve into different aspects of the lives of the enslaved including foodways, trades & skills, and art & cultural contributions. Timed tours discussing the history of the enslaved people at Historic Brattonsville will take place at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. each Saturday.

By Way of the Back Door is included in Historic Brattonsville’s general admission for Saturdays in February.
