Join us at the Museum of York County for a gneiss day out with the family! Explore the exciting world of geology with the help of the museum’s incredible collection of rocks and minerals. Learn how fossils are made and observe glorious glowing minerals. Try your hand at gem-mining with Dirt Dauber Deb’s mobile mine and learn how ancient peoples used rocks with flint knapper Thomas Ray. Bring in your favorite rocks to be identified by our experts! “Did an Asteroid Really Kill the Dinosaurs?” is the featured planetarium show and will play throughout the day.
Dirt Dauber Deb’s Mobile Gem Mine will be on site for “Geo Rocks! Family Day” at the Museum of York County. Please note: Gem mining at Dirt Dauber Deb’s Mobile Gem Mine is discounted for the first 100 miners with paid museum admission and will cost $5.
