Harvest on the Homestead

Come celebrate fall with us! Learn about the Carolina Piedmont’s agricultural heritage with activities people historically did during the harvest season. Each weekend in October will highlight one harvest-specific theme. This weekend we will be focusing on cotton.
Activities include:
• Running the Cotton Gin (every hour, beginning at 11 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m.)
• Blacksmithing
• 18th century cooking: Planked Fish and Sea Pie
• Guided tour of the 19th century Bratton Plantation ( 2 p.m.)

Harvest on the Homestead is included in Historic Brattonsville’s general admission for Saturdays in October.
