Harvest on the Homestead

Come celebrate fall with us! Learn about the Carolina Piedmont’s agricultural heritage with activities people historically did during the harvest season. Each weekend in October will highlight one harvest-specific theme. This weekend we will be focusing on pumpkins & spice.
Activities include:
• 18th century cooking: Pumpkin Stuffed with Apples and Pumpkin Pie
• 19th century cooking: Pumpkin Pudding and Pumpkin Hoe Cakes
• Archery
• Guided tour focusing on the agricultural practices of the 18th and 19th century Carolina Piedmont ( 2 p.m.)
Harvest on the Homestead is included in Historic Brattonsville’s general admission for Saturdays in October.
