DESCRIPTION:Participants contribute images of organisms by emailing citizenscience@chmuseums.org. This month’s theme is birds of prey and mammals. \nPlease include the name of the photographer and place where the photo was taken. The best photos of the month may be featured in a virtual exhibition. The first week after the contest ends each month the winner will be announced via Facebook. Observations may be submitted all month long to citizenscience@chmuseums.org.

DESCRIPTION:Pre-registration Required | Ages 6+ | $10 per Member per day and $15 per Non-member per day \nBioQuest Camp will take place each day from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. \nAt this fun-filled camp join the quest and explore the amazing variety of habitats found across South Carolina! Through hands-on activities\, nature walks\, games\, and crafts\, campers will learn how plants and animals depend on these special environments. \n**Goldfish/pretzels and/or fruit snacks and water will be provided at break at noon. \nDaily Topics\nJuly 21: Coastal Zone Adventures – Discover sandy beaches\, salt marshes\, and the barrier islands. Learn about sea turtle nesting\, crabs\, and shorebirds.\nJuly 22: Piedmont Exploreres – Investigate our rolling hills\, forests\, and streams. Learn about all the wonderful animals that live outside our front door.\nJuly 23: Mountain Marvels – Climb (in our imaginations) into the Blue Ridge Mountains and learn about black bears\, salamanders\, and other wonderful mountain creatures.\nJuly 24: Wetland Wonders – Explore the swamps and cypress forests that make our state unique and the interesting creatures that live there.
