Weekly Programs Added to Main Street Children’s Museum’s Lineup

Rock Hill, SC – Three weekly on-going programs have been added to the Main Street Children’s Museum roster of creative learning opportunities.  Mark Wednesdays, Fridays and the second Saturday of each month for additional activities for infants and youngsters up to age five to enjoy with their caregiver.

On the Second Saturday of each month, rise early and start your morning at the Main Street Children’s Museum at 9:15am before the museum opens officially to the public!  Join staff as they lead young ones through seasonal stories and crafts

Wee ones three years and younger and their caregiver will enjoy thirty minutes of fun-filled activities during Wee Wednesdays offered every Wednesday beginning at 10:30am.  Listen to stories, move with music, and create a special craft. On the 3rd Wednesday of each month,  a special friend from the York County Library will visit for Toddler Storytime.

Every Friday is I Spy Friday for little ones ages three to six, all day long. Explore the museum with your caregiver by finding objects in this self-guided scavenger hunt.

These special activities are all included in general Museum admission and registration is not required.  The Main Street Children’s Museum is located at 133 E. Main Street in Rock Hill, SC.  This unique museum is inspired by the art of nationally-known illustrator Vernon Grant who fascinated young and old with his whimsical paintings and illustrations for over seventy-five years.  Hours of operation are Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10am-5pm; Sundays, 1-5pm.  Closed on Mondays.  Admission:  Children & Adults $5; CHM members and children younger than one are FREE.
