John Deere donates vehicle to Historic Brattonsville

Electric E Gator will be used for site maintenance

McCONNELLS, SC – Representatives from John Deere SE Engineering Center recently visited Historic Brattonsville to donate an E Gator utility vehicle.

Paul Meyer, vice president for engineering and supply management, and Steve Godfrey, supervisor for facilities, delivered and presented the vehicle.

The 900-pound electric vehicle has a 500-pound cargo capacity and a high ground clearance. It will be used for routine maintenance at Historic Brattonsville and for repair and maintenance of the site’s Walt Schrader Trails.

Historic Brattonsville is a 750-acre living history site in McConnells, 10 miles west of Rock Hill, SC.

The Culture & Heritage Museums are managed by the York County Culture and Heritage Commission (CHC), chartered in 1997 by the York County, South Carolina, Council. The Culture and Heritage Foundation supports the CHC, its museums and the future museum being developed on the Catawba River at I-77.
