Amazing Asteroids

Asteroids are large rocky, metallic, or icy bodies with no atmosphere that exist in the inner Solar System – and from time to time, they have collided with other, larger celestial bodies, even the Earth! Join us to learn all about asteroids, what they are made of, how they could affect our planet, and what we are doing to protect ourselves from them. The Settlemyre Planetarium will also show the program, “Did an Asteroid Really Kill the Dinosaurs?”
