CHM Members are invited to preview our new Museum of York County summer exhibits, Decomposers Glow and Return to Earth.
Decomposers Glow is an awe-inspiring exhibition of illuminated snails and mushrooms by artist Meredith Connelly. A curving path leads visitors through the gallery to observe this collection of over one hundred hand-constructed and 3D-printed sculptures. These works seamlessly integrate nature, art, and technology into a unique and memorable experience.
Return to Earth features works by artists Meredith Connelly and Mike Hammer that depict the importance of decomposers in the natural world. Mushrooms and other fungi, as well as bacteria play a vital role in the breakdown of plants and animals and the recycling of nutrients in ecosystems. A variety of images and artful renderings bring a fresh perspective to the world of decomposition.
Members in attendance will receive a Free Family Guest pass to be shared with family or friends for a visit to Museum of York County this summer.
