Sheep Shearing: Shearing and Washing Wool

Join us each Saturday in May for our Living History Saturdays focusing on Sheep Shearing! We will explore the different steps involved in processing wool, including shearing sheep, washing the wool, carding and spinning thread, weaving thread into cloth, and dyeing with natural dyes. This weekend we will be looking at Shearing and Washing Wool.
We will be shearing sheep at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
May 11 – Carding and Spinning

Sheep Shearing is included in Historic Brattonsville’s general admission for Saturdays in May.
