Living History Saturday: Independence Day

Join us for this Living History Saturday to learn how Independence Day was celebrated in the Carolina Piedmont during the 1850s.
On-going Activities Included:
Making 19th century refreshments
Toys and games
Make-and-take activity: natural dyeing
Writing with quill pens and ink
Timed Activities:
“Brattonsville’s African-American Community and The Pursuit of Liberty” (1 p.m.)
Reading of the Declaration of Independence at the Oak Grove Stage (Noon and 2 p.m.)
Independence Day is included in Historic Brattonsville’s general admission for Saturday, July 1.
Tickets
