During the Cold War, the United States and the Soviet Union were in bitter competition with each other to launch as many space missions as they could. This was the Space Race, and though the Soviets took some early wins, in the end the United States would triumph when Neil Armstrong became the first person to walk on the Moon at the culmination of the famous Apollo 11 mission! Join us for Space Race-themed activities, a Moon craft, and the planetarium show at 11 a.m., CAPCOM GO! The Apollo Story!
