New schedule for Historic Brattonsville’s annual Christmas Candlelight Tours

Christmas Candlelight Tours illuminate 19th century holiday traditions of the Carolina Piedmont

McCONNELLS, S.C. – This year’s Christmas Candlelight Tours at Historic Brattonsville are a one-weekend-only event. The evening tours feature 19th century-style holiday festivities beginning with a Culture & Heritage Museums member-exclusive on Dec. 8 followed by time-ticketed tours on Dec. 9 and 10.

For all Christmas Candlelight Tours, living history interpreters present scripted scenarios set in 1867 and portray the apprehension and hope of post-Civil-War York County.  Father Christmas, a brass band and fiddle music, unique shopping opportunities, and fun make-and-take activities make this annual event a family tradition.  Cash concessions available.
