About Main Street Children’s Museum:
Serving young children up to age six, Main Street Children’s Museum is a storybook-come-to-life playscape. Special programs focusing on literacy, movement, music, art, and STEM aim to prepare young learners and their caregivers for the future. The 4,420-square-foot playscape is located in the heart of downtown Rock Hill in the People’s Bank Building, which was built in 1910 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The imaginative setting was modeled after the artwork of Vernon Grant, renown illustrator of Kellogg’s iconic characters – Snap, Crackle and Pop.
As part of the Museums for All initiative, Main Street Children’s Museum provides reduced admission for low-income families; visit museums4all.org for more information. Main Street Children’s Museum is KultureCity® Certified and Sensory InclusiveTM.
