New Exhibit Brings Bizarre Beasts To Life

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Explore the incredible landscapes of the Carolina Piedmont from over 20 million years ago, where shovel-tusked elephants thundered across ancient plains, saber-toothed cats and bone-crushing dogs hunted in the shadows, and terrifying “hell” pigs ruled the land. A new permanent exhibit unlike anything in the region opens soon where visitors can walk among the fearsome beasts of the Miocene and Pliocene, a time long before the Ice Ages.
