You’re cordially invited to our third annual Teatime at Hightower, a CHM member-exclusive event. Join us for a delightful afternoon tea experience featuring savory tea sandwiches, freshly baked scones, and petite desserts!

Our Teatime event is a lovely way to spend the afternoon together, and create special memories!

Members are invited to bring non-member guests to this event by purchasing “Member Guest” tickets for each of their guests.

Sheep Shearing

This Living History Saturday, we will be focusing on the process of turning sheep’s wool into finished textiles for clothing and household goods. This Saturday’s activities will highlight different steps in the production process.

Weaving and Tape-weaving
Natural Dyeing

Timed Activities:
Animal feeding (10:30 a.m.)
Sheep Shearing (11 a.m., 1 p.m., & 3 p.m.)

Join us to explore content based off of and provided by the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History exhibit “Cell Phones – Unseen Connections.” We will explore the minerals mined in the Carolinas that build the cell phones in our lives. Play our identification game and make a fun craft to take home.
