Invasion of the Bloodsuckers Family Day!

June 6 | 10 a.m. –  4 p.m.
at Museum of York County

Step into a world of thrill, chills, and fun at Invasion of the Bloodsuckers Family Day! Explore bats and other fanged flying creatures who inhabit our world. Learn about leeches and their use in medicine. Examine creepy crawlies like ticks, bedbugs, and mosquitos and learn why they feed on blood and what you can do to avoid being their next meal. Scrutinize legendary mythical creatures who are said to have consumed blood as their favorite meal. Explore Attack of the Bloodsuckers!, a traveling exhibit from Sciencenter, where you will come face to face with live leeches. Watch a fantastic planetarium show, make a buzzing mosquito craft, and much more! Join us for a thrilling and fun family day celebrating the fascinating world of bloodsuckers!

Musical May

The Museum’s alive with the sound of music. Join us this month as we learn all about music. Each week in May will have a different music lesson, culminating in a dance party at the end. This week we learn about the brass family. After the main program the classroom activities will be open until 1 p.m.

Vibrant Venus

Venus is the second planet from the Sun in our Solar System, the closest to Earth, and the hottest. Join us to learn more fun facts about Venus and take part in an activity that will teach you about the greenhouse effect, which is the cause of Venus’s extreme temperatures.
