This event will take place at 1036 Brattonsville Rd. McConnells, SC 29726.

You’re cordially invited to our second annual Teatime at Hightower, a CHM member-exclusive event.

Join us for afternoon tea on the veranda at Hightower Hall and delight in a scrumptious selection of tea sandwiches, blueberry scones served with lemon curd and cream, petite desserts, and tea!

Sheep Shearing

Saturdays in May | 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Join us each Saturday in May for our Living History Saturdays focusing on Sheep Shearing! We will explore the different steps involved in processing wool, including shearing sheep, washing the wool, carding and spinning thread, weaving thread into cloth, and dyeing with natural dyes.
May 4 – Shearing and Washing Wool
May 11 – Carding and Spinning
May 18 – Weaving
May 25 – Natural Dyeing
Sheep Shearing is included in Historic Brattonsville’s general admission for Saturdays in May.
